My name is Melissa Crouthamel. I graduated in 2003 from the University of Delaware with a degree in Health and Physical Education K-12. I have been in the Red Clay School District since Fall of 2003 and for the past 14 years I have been at Baltz Elementary School.
I am apart of the PE Council for Red Clay and the districts Elementary representative at the State Level. I recently began a Masters Program in Adapted Physical Education through the University of South Carolina. I have been a figure skater since I was 8 years old. My primary love is Synchronized Skating. This is team skating where you are connected and do formations and other cool things with a team! I was fortunate to compete at the National Level from 1991 until 2018 competing with youth teams, collegiate level teams, and adult level teams. I began coaching in college and have continued until this day. I live in Newark with my husband and 2 kids. My son is 5 and finishing up Kindergarten and my daughter is 3. They keep us very busy and have already developed a love for sports and the outdoors. We love to travel and go camping. |
